mono - hightlites

started my summer classes afew days ago. yay. finally i had a purpose in life.

SUMMER IS HERE

summer in texas is HOT HOT HOT. only i found out later that it is still just the beginning of summer in june.

die laaa...

summer classes were fun. i tagged along to alissa's PHYS's & hani's MATH lectures.

it was pretty awkward though, when saslow asked everyone in class to ask each other's names, so we dont study alone. so to say. & a guy asked me my name, & i had to say, sorry im not in this class...

WHO goes to a physics class which they are not enrolled to?

me, apparently. socially awkward.

but my fave class was American History (for now). cos there were alot of highlites. yay

first day, we learnt about native american peoples & their ancient civilization. the lecturer was showing pics of her tour to this Casa Something in Arizona (if im not mistaken -_-) about this Hohokam tribe. It was pretty err.. because she showed a pic of a crater-like ground & she said that people assumed that it's a football field. seriously, how do you know??? it's a crater, for Elmo's sake! & there were also pictures of poles which the lecturer said are equivalent to the Stonehenge. seriously?! it looks more like a telephone pole to me. for all i know, the Hohokams' favourite pastime is to  phone each other all the time "hey, apa keja kitak ya?"

like rite? they may already invented the frickking iphones for all we know!

the second class we had, the highlite was when the lecturer was talking about this mysterious Roanoke colony, where the leader went back to England to get more supplies for the colony and left his daughter & granddaughter behind. When he came back to the colony, he found that all the people in the colony vanished. then instead of finding them, he ran back to England. i was like "what?! go back laa! find your anak". i ddint realize i was saying it loudly, until alissa noted it. haha.

the third class, it came to pocahontas! well, about Jamestown colony, & one of the prominent leaders in the colony was named John Smith. i was excited. & there really was a red-indian chief's daughter named Pocahontas. However i learnt a new thing today.

Pocahontas was not in a relationship with John Smith!!

lies all lies

That was a lie concocted by Disney!

Not true!

My whole childhood belief was a lie!

lol
