incumbent

found an interesting word today. it made me think of 'imbecile'. haha. let's google what it means.

based on dictionary.com, it refers to

"the holder of an office"

okay, oops. no, it does not mean or imply the word imbecile. and now that i know the definition, it appears to be a boring word.

yawwwwnnn

helped sai kit pack his stuff just now. with all his things in the big moving van.

while i was carrying those things, lis rilek alu minum milo padah

"bibik, angkat yer barang cepat2... jangan malas"

"ya bu, tolong permisi passport gue. gue kena kejaran polisi tengah gue lari masuk sempadan semalam bu."

bah, my indon so lousy la.

anyway, sai kit will be our new neighbour, yay! & he has a car, yay!

& officially i am living in a store. in this small apartment, we have my thing, hani's, lis', afif's, faiz's, astri's, tanjung's and now sai kit's. still waiting for darick's and douglas' things agik.

lol

these guys are really bullying us.

haha

NYway, im freaked out about tomorrow's essay! it's based on father abe, but i really dont know what to write about him... hmm~

& yeah, it was really cool today when this girl came to hani, lis & i, & asked

"are you guys malaysians?

cos i've heard you guys speaking malay.

i'm malaysian too."

& we were like, CooL! such a small world, this is.

i bid to all malaysians, please appreciate the malay language. because when you are out of malaysia, the malay language is a great way for you to distinguish who is of your country and who is not. our language is really very unique.

and also it's the best way for you to kritik orang antarabangsa without them tahu apa dipadah kawu ya.

lol

tipu la you go overseas never do this

i hate weekends

... well basically thats it.

*this post's existence proves my point*

i wanna go travelling!

damn no-summer-allowance. unfortunately i ddnt know that we wont be having any allowance for summer. & i have to pay the house rent. so screwed up.

i wanna go travelling!

but im broke! and bankrupt! where will i find the money?! sell myself?!

oh WOW

today has some highlites =)

finally, i have a little, small, miniscule fragment of life.

spent some time in the REC today. & im beginning to really love the pool. & the friendly lifeguards :)

got some really nice Shivers ice cone. ice cones, me likey!

went to a pool party in ZZ Islander, this new apartment complex which we stumbled upon while we were randomly house-hunting. yeah we were out of place, especially me with my jeans & stuff...

went to watch Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen, which is effing awesomeee! i came out from the cinema with such an overwhelming feeling. it was good, i tell you.

i love shia labeouf. but then again, who wouldnt fall for a guy who's really smart & runs around trying to save both robots and the whole entire humankind?

and also, one who is good enough to get megan fox?  ;p

what do you get when you cross robots & humans?

robots + humans = romans

apparently caesar's a cyborg.

lame joke, i know. haha.

then, stuffed myself at TGI Fridays. on a Friday night. how original.

after a quick HEB grocery shopping, im back home. & dying from boredom again. someone save me now!

omelettes and oreos

... for my abyss-like stomach. gah.

anyway, wanted to share a few random summer piccies i took.

yeah yeah. i admit i took alot of pictures of squirrels. cos im so sakai. & apparently, even squirrels are more friendly during the summer.

cant wait to go back to Great Wall, this Chinese buffet which only charges 9 dollars for -let's see- sushi, a tons variety of chicken (kung pao, general tso), rice, noodle, soup, jello, fish, vege, crackers, fruits, desserts, & yes ice creams! & in those DIY ice cream machines. i wanna get me one of those machines!

well it was kinda funny when we thought this dog was chasing us, instead it ran to this longkang cum river to escape the summer heat. yes, texan summer is hot. i cannot say it enough. especially when we'll be facing 100+ Fahrenheit (aka 39 Celcius) days from now on. & unfortunately, summer has just started... ;O

apparently, summer means Camp Camp Camp too. stumbled upon swimming camps & cheerleading camps. cant help curi2 ambik this gambar.

one of the things which made me love texas is that it's so green! i remembered last spring, trees in the northern states like michigan were still browning. but in texas, everything was already all green & flowering! so beautiful =)

pic of hani & lis braving the summer heat with the assistance of their colored umbrellas. & coming here, i realized only asians wear umbrella in the hot sun. haha, an overstatement of course. but it's so rare to see people using an umbrella to cover from the sun here. it is so rare that you feel almost embarrased to use it, and nearly willing to kiss your fair skin goodbye. =(

this college also has a tradition called pond-hopping. where you're supposed to hop into the ponds around the campus at least once before you leave the college. which i will elaborate once i've done. which i will! cant wait~

kih kih kih. well, this is not a summer pic. i was just browsing through old pics (one of my many efforts to procrastinate), and found this pic, which i adore. we took this pic in front of the Millenium Egg, and had the best of funs taking crazy pics in front of it! one of my fave spring moments =D

*this pic also makes me miss the boys. which i will never ever ever admit to them. screw you, boys*

+_+

oblivion.

meaning 'the state of being completely forgotten or unknown'. as in 'i am oblivious as to how the word oblivion relates to this post. apparently it s a mystery.

anyway it saddens me that due to me taking only one summer class, i hvent been able to meet any new people.

  • but i did have a random discourse with this guy, who suddenly out of nowhere asked 'do you hv a brother?'. before this, i was almost oblivious of the southern hospitality that i had admired so much. now i cant wait for fall semester.

went to the pool again

  • annoyingly, it seemed like out of the blue, all the hottest guys in college station suddenly decided to go for a swin today. i kid you not & if i were to exaggerate one bit, i will starve myself for a decade.
  • 2nd annoyingly, i was playing around in the south side of the pool & the only lifeguard was at the north part. diving around, fooling around, & suddenly i heard a whistle. the lifeguard (who was also a nice sight) called 'Maam, can you swim closer here?". just so he can look out for me. oh M G. he looked at me like he was scared i'll drown or something~ im not a baby!

hmm...

+_+

oh pucker! at least it's interesting today...

what a stupid title. i dont even know what pucker means.

anyway,

at least i find yesterday & today a fairly interesting day. unlike the other redundant days filled solely with screams of "aaaah so HOT! ci**i texan summer!"

well, in short, yesterday was interesting bcos

1) we got left by the bus

& by that statement, i meant to say "Cilaka! i had to walk in this frickkin hot summer!". & it's not like the bus left us bcos we were late. hani & i were waiting for the bus (which came late btw). as the bus arrived, stopped & opened the door, we were walking towards it. a few guys came into the bus, and just as we were standing in front of the bus entrance, it Closed! & just went off. We were right in front of the entrance, for bus-driver's sake! grrr~

2) i got scared of the big bad pool

well, the low pool was closed for this high-school swimming camp. so the only pool open was the diving pool. frickkin scared me to death! 18 ft tall!

but then again, the low pool was about 8 ft, which means my leg had a higher possiblity of turning green than reaching the floor of the pool, so i jumped straight in that 18 ft pool!

it was alrite in the end. =)

3) squirrels arent innocent either

in that crazy hot summer day, i had to walk to history class with lis. then, i saw a couple of squirrels quarreling, wrestling each other in the middle of the pathway. h'ever as we got closer...

'wait, is that what i think it is..?'

apparently squirrels are exhibitionists too in the making-babies process.

it's so wrong to watch an animal porn during a hot hot summer day arrrgh!

you wonder why this is on my list of interesting events? because im a kid. & this amuses me so much that i have to constantly tell myself to grow up.

4) we went on an adventure... not really.

after class, hani lis i decided to go to the mall to buy some clothes for the friday event YAY.

im basically pokai, so i tried to limit my purchase. made a list of things to buy

  • small towel
  • hair conditioner
  • umbrella - for the annoyingly shining summer sun
  • singlets

instead i bought

  • hair scarf
  • earrings
  • singlets
  • winter sweater
  • SONIC's chicken wrap - yummie~

notice that the only purchase that was on the list was my singlets. why do women always shop like this?!!

p/s  & that sweater was totally worth it! it's beautiful & gorgeous & half-price! =p

5) i finally watched pearl harbour *the movie* from start to finish

well, yeah, thats basically it. & josh hartnett. *wink wink*

(oh gawd, if i was a boy i'd be a playboy of cliche pick up lines)

"another one of your husband ah pajell?" said lis. cis.

but he is haaaawwwwt!

he can play sweet innocent choir boy 'i, i.. i dont kill, kill nobody, sir..'

& in a split second, BAM! he hits you with a machete with that piercing pure evil eyes.

i cant choose between his innocent sweet smile - or his angry glinting eyes.

hand me a Smile, cos i need one for my happiness

after saving a cockroach from the wraths of hani & lis,

i had the tendency to listen to one of my fave fave song,

blur's beetlebum

& like i had a sudden epiphany, i googled them.

bless all the people who believed in Santa Claus,

BLUR IS REFORMED

to think i can see them sing again, & damon albarn writing new brilliant songs,

it sends shivers to my brain!

i love BLUR with a passion.

& yes, i also love British boys. abit ironic that i end up here. hmm...

oh life~

i remember my first 'singer crush' was Damon Albarn, when i first saw the PV 'Boys & Girls'

yep, he's a pretty boy. but thats not the main reason i like him. honest!

come to think of it, that was an early age to have a crush...

-_-"

anyway BLUR's reformed!

oh what estatic chains of endorphins are swirling in my neurotransmitter-filled brains now!

right now, they're only doing shows in the UK.

(damn u expensive-flight-tickets-to-the-UK)

but there's talks about them coming here!!!

yipeeee!

p/s shell, give me my allowance asap plzzz

happy drinker.

well, not so. as much as i am tempted to indulge in any of the light-head inducer liquids, i cant legally. apparently, in the states we have to 21 & above to drink.

not that that's a problem anyway.

but i am now addicted to kool-aid. ah, another american franchise that has come to fatten me up.

all the big fuss about 'kool-aid drinkers' as a racist term, i dont see whats the deal with that. i mean, i drink kool-aid, you drink kool-aid, britney spears drink kool-aid, obama drinks kool-aid. nothing wrong with that~

***

& after a few months being here, i beg to differ on people's general perception that Americans are racist. in fact, they're afraid of it. i mean, it's such a joy to see Americans so out-spoken & stuff, but when it comes to issues of racism they instantly shut up. no man, no worries.

[the most racist people you can ever find, are in fact asians.]

it's true! the only case of racism i can see around here are from the malaysian buddies that i hang out with. the only thing is we dont get creditted for it. i can look at a person and stereotype him/her instantly. look at ibans, i think sumpit & headhunting (mind you, im iban), i look at chinese, i think math & well, the buff ones made me think of kung-fu. looking at indians, i picture couples running around the trees & singing 30-minutes love songs. that is racism. and apparently ,that's just such an asian thing.

no, im not saying it's good. it's bad. but it's worse that Americans get called racist by other people who are so much more racist than them.

^^^

by the way, i had to honestly say, i was amused by some of the stereotypes that americans have on asians.

asians are, as some ignorant people say, only composed of the oriental community- mainly chinese, japanese, koreans, mongolians etc- and people like me, are undefined.

thankfully, i dont really care about that. haha

asians are also said to be Bad Drivers. well, obviously, THAT IS SO TRUE!

let me tell you the difference between american and asian drivers.

americans STOP at stop signs. asians merely STARE at the stop sign. (okay, pun to the' Stop and Stare' song)

americans smile at pedestrians who have to cross the road. asians curse at the pedestrians.

rushing americans still stop for pedestrians. rushing asians swerve their car to avoid the pedestrians & disrupt the traffic.

most amusing, however was what azelli said to me.

'to the americans, yellow light means go slowly & stop.

to the asians, yellow light means Go GO As Fast As You Can!"

and you, asians, still want to refute the fact we are bad drivers?

where does mat rempits come from? asia jugak.

----

to note, one day i was hanging around with my friends. & one of this guy had a bad experience with this asian driver, so out of rage he said 'stupid asian'. then he realized his blunder, so he said 'not malaysians!'.

i find that funny, so i pretended to be annoyed & retorted 'what do i look like to you? indian?'

only to realize, duh, india is in Asia.

stupid asian, me.

haha

dont worry, he did feel better though, when i said 'ah you all white boys look the same to me.'

see, there, me being racist again.

hot deals these vampires are

referring to former post, i am now disturbed by the fact, why are vampires so damn cool?!

my top 7 favourite vampires

----------------------------------

7. Viktor

(Bill Nighy's Underworld)

~always thought nighy's effing cool. he has that ancient-vampire look~

6. Selena

(Kate Beckinsale's Underworld)

-she is hawt. she made me think i was gay-

5. Edward Cullen

(Robert Pattison's Twilight saga)

~yeah. he's number 5. i love him & all, but a wee bit too sissy. lol~

 4. Loius de Pointe du Lac

(Brad Pitt's Interview of the Vampire)

-saying this is enough. brad pitttt *drops in own drools*-

3. blade

(Wesley Snipes's Blade)

~ i know. he's half-vampire. but he kicks immortal asses with his kungfu hoohaas. dude!-

2. Lestat de Lioncourt

(Tom Cruise's Interview with the Vampire)

(Stuart Townsend's Queen of the Damned)

~i cant choose. they're both so good at epitomizing the seductive, callous, lustful creature of the night. that is Lestat~

& who can beat the god-awesome Lestat for the crown of coolest vampire ever?

*the ultimate vampire*

1. Count von Count

(Sesame Street)

yeah. he's a vampire. & he teaches kids how to count!

how effing cool is that!

haunted by the blood of you

"you see i cannot be forsaken,

because i am not the only one..."

after countless efforts of procrastinating at doing my work (that includes making fun of George Washington & the French-Indian War), i finally decided to watch one of my all-time favourite movie, Queen of the Damned.

I have no idea why i like the movie so damn much. It is not the best, I admit it, & tom cruise's version of lestat is unbeatable! (the only reason why the word 'tom-cruise' still exists in my dictionary now)

however the soundtrack is haunting. like vampire blood seeping through your veins, urgh. my favourite is 'cold' by static-x. especially love it when the song came out while lestat was crawling up the wall. oh so hot.

remind me again why vampires are so in.

not because of robert pattison.

Home that our feet may leave...

... but not our hearts.

-Oliver Wendell Holmes

anyway, today, i found a new form of interest.

*house hunting*

we went house-hunting for faisal.

one thing so cool about petronas scholarship is that petronas pays for their accomodation. so they can pick whatever house they want. arrgh. whereas shell (well, us as far as it concerns) dont have that lovely privilege.

we went to a few places like Aggie Station, The District. My fave was The Enclave bcause it's so pretty. & close to HEB. lol

it was so much fun looking at the houses. & the swimming pools. & gyms. & game rooms. & argh argh argh

*spoiled for words*

however, when talking about a perfect home. what would i define a perfect home? hmmm

  • i'd probably prefer apartments than actual houses.
  • the higher, the better. with big big windows.
  • i'd definitely want paintings on the wall. framed or actually painted on the wall.
  • i would like my house to be unique. not normal cliches, like au-naturale or couture houses. i want it to be as ME as can be.
  • especially, i want white lights. not those yellow fancy lights. they're so annoying.
  • plants in the house, too will be nice.
  • i love a clustered house. space & more space so not my thing. i love to snuggle. haha.
  • pets. like fishes. i would prefer a cat. or a dog. but it'll be nicer for if i have a yard.
  • most importantly, stacked with BOOKS!!

a place stacked with books that i love. that is my personal home :)

_

LOL while we were trying to exit The Enclave, they had this automatic door where it opens when you drive near it. & doug drove near it, but it wont open! & there were a few cars behind us. so doug reversed. the car behind us drove to the gate, & walaa it opened! the drivers were smirking & stuff, we were so embarassed!!! urgh~

racist gate. lol

throwing rolls of movies ...

... into the pits of the abyss. if i could.

just watched mulan & the beach in a single marathon.

& the last king of scotland & the hunchback of notre dame last wednesday.

*eff* these movie marathons! im so tired of it all.

it comes to the point i relate everything to movies.

& right now, i can only hear my brain whisper something slowly to my consciousness...

...before it screams

by the way, have you watched 'The Hangover' yet??

the kiasu story

well, let me tell you about my history class just now.

we just had our exam on wednesday, so just now we got our test paper back. the lecturer was saying, 'if you want to come to my office so you can look to your papers, you are free to do so. in case i marked things wrongly..' or something.

i was like "kiasu juwak!". & lis who was sitting in the middle of hani & me was laughing. because apparently while i was saying "kiasu juwak", hani was in the middle of planning to go the lecturer's office. lol

& lis then added, 'sapa dapat 100 markah ya nang kiasu giler laa..'. & guess who got 100? lis juak. hahah.

the last king of arrgh-no-more-torture

as in i just watched 'the last king of scotland'.

i really liked it. even though i screamed around the end of the movie just for the heck of it.

no im lying. it's so horribly violent! arrgh!!

but still it's a real good movie.

& not just because james mcavoy is in it. with his sexy scottish accent.

RawR!

and a doctor to boot!

i like the way he came to Uganda with such a naive & light motive ('have fun & help at the same time').  through circumstances, he was dragged into the corrupt side of African politics, namely his good friend newly-elected President Amin. He continued trying to help all he can, but found out that the problems he sees around him are just too big a responsiblity.

a bad bad review. im bad at this.

but it's a really refined movie, made you think, & inspire you to change something in this world.

just dont eat while watching.

which includes the Pamunkey tribe.

which is lead by Indian Chief Powhatan

who is the father of Pocahontas

who, according to Disney, fell in love with John Smith

who was among the first settlers in the Jamestown colony

which was learnt in American History

which made me eventually watch the cartoon Pocahontas

that made me totally an emotional wreck rite now!!!

the last time i watched Pocahontas was when i was a kid. so i didnt expect, when i watched it this time, the movie to be so beautifully enchanting.

especially moments when pocahontas and john smith spend their time knowing each other.

arent they so cute here

so saaaaad that american history totally ruins the movie.

i cant believe she abandoned john smith for john rolfe!

hmmmphh!

my bloody stomach!

exactly what it is!

how do i stop my bloody stomach from grumbling?!

"it grumbles when im hungry, it grumbles when im asleep

it grumbles in tones of low and even in the deep,

i ate to stop the grumbling and even over-ate

but what to do, oh what to do my class will start at eight."

---

googled about the cause for stomach grumbling. & guess what's the 1st result? 'Early Pregnancy symptoms'.

kuso

but well, a few causes

  • gas in stomach
  • chewing gum, which fools the stomach into thinking there is food to be digested
  • pregnancy (ahah, not happening)

it annoys me because my stomach's really really loud!!!

like there's a war in my stomach with people using atomic bombs and japanese shouting "banzai! banzai!"

one time it grumbles so loud in an exam hall my friend next to me stared at my stomach & shook his head...

aaargh!

& dismiss the whole 'hungry' theory. my stomach grumbles even after i just ate a whole meal.

damn stomach!

mono - hightlites

started my summer classes afew days ago. yay. finally i had a purpose in life.

SUMMER IS HERE

summer in texas is HOT HOT HOT. only i found out later that it is still just the beginning of summer in june.

die laaa...

summer classes were fun. i tagged along to alissa's PHYS's & hani's MATH lectures.

it was pretty awkward though, when saslow asked everyone in class to ask each other's names, so we dont study alone. so to say. & a guy asked me my name, & i had to say, sorry im not in this class...

WHO goes to a physics class which they are not enrolled to?

me, apparently. socially awkward.

but my fave class was American History (for now). cos there were alot of highlites. yay

first day, we learnt about native american peoples & their ancient civilization. the lecturer was showing pics of her tour to this Casa Something in Arizona (if im not mistaken -_-) about this Hohokam tribe. It was pretty err.. because she showed a pic of a crater-like ground & she said that people assumed that it's a football field. seriously, how do you know??? it's a crater, for Elmo's sake! & there were also pictures of poles which the lecturer said are equivalent to the Stonehenge. seriously?! it looks more like a telephone pole to me. for all i know, the Hohokams' favourite pastime is to  phone each other all the time "hey, apa keja kitak ya?"

like rite? they may already invented the frickking iphones for all we know!

the second class we had, the highlite was when the lecturer was talking about this mysterious Roanoke colony, where the leader went back to England to get more supplies for the colony and left his daughter & granddaughter behind. When he came back to the colony, he found that all the people in the colony vanished. then instead of finding them, he ran back to England. i was like "what?! go back laa! find your anak". i ddint realize i was saying it loudly, until alissa noted it. haha.

the third class, it came to pocahontas! well, about Jamestown colony, & one of the prominent leaders in the colony was named John Smith. i was excited. & there really was a red-indian chief's daughter named Pocahontas. However i learnt a new thing today.

Pocahontas was not in a relationship with John Smith!!

lies all lies

That was a lie concocted by Disney!

Not true!

My whole childhood belief was a lie!
